Since this is a new way of doing Christian conferences, a lot of people have questions on exactly how the conference will work. I wanted to create a place where people can post their questions and have them answered.
Here are a few of the top questions that I have gotten so far:
How does it all work?
For the workshops and seminars, each day you will receive a special link to the website where the conference will be held. You will be able to watch (videos) or download (mp3s) that day’s session right from your computer.
When there are multiple sessions, you will receive a link to each individual session so that you can access each one when you’re ready. Even if you don’t finish the sessions that day, they will remain available for you to experience at your convenience.
UPDATE:
I have updated the instructions for how to participate in the conference. For more detailed and up to date instructions, visit: http://conference08.hem-of-his-garment-bible-study.org/
I am in another country. Can I still participate in the conference?
Yes. The beauty of technology is that, since the conference will be online, you will be able to participate no matter where you are. Even the live webcast will be fully accessible by phone and online.
You will be able to participate in each part of the conference no matter where you are.
There are no times for the sessions. When does each one start?
Outside of the teleconference, each session will be available 24 hours a day to those who are registered for the conference. On the morning of each session, you will receive an email with a link to the web page hosting that days conference. You can start and stop the sessions whenever you want.
You can come back and go through each session as many times as you want even weeks and months down the road. They will remain available to all participants indefinitely.
The time of the webcast is 8pm Eastern Time on Thursday June 5th.
What format will the sessions be available in?
The sessions will be available in both video and audio formats. The videos will include slides to help you follow along with the sessions as well as a free Reaching for the Hem journal to help you get the most out of what you are learning. The audio formats are available for free mp3 download to all registered participants.
Even though I try to be thorough, I’m sure that I missed something. So, if you have a question that I didn’t cover, please ask. There is a good chance that someone else is wondering the same thing
